Exactly what I need to build! Thank you.
Thinking about using your design, looks great. No issues with ventilation? And they’re still able to get enough sun?
Thanks. I really like the design. They’ve worked great for my rabbits. The ventilation on them seems fine. Two-thirds of the bottom is screen, along with the door and the divider between the two pens. I have the hutches about three feet off the ground so the air can flow under them. I’ve seen snow blow in a bit on blustery day for example. Right now I have my hutches facing north and south under a overhang and they still get evening and morning sun. But honestly since we don’t get sun for a good four months of the year I did not take that into consideration. For three monts we have all sun so I worried about them overheating more. You could always leave the whole front of the cage screened and if there is too much sun cover as needed.
Did you put a slop from front to back on your roof, for run off?
Yes, the runoff would run off the backside of the hutches.
